Artist's Comments
This piece was the result of a homework assignment for my Life Drawing class. The assignment was a rather open one; simply complete a charcoal sketch of a live model.
Itasca had a lot of energy (as usual) and he had no idea what I was doing with the paper and charcoal, so he was constantly moving around. This would have made him a difficult model had I not been able to count on the fact that he was a very curious baby. Whenever his curiosity would get the best of him, he would come over to where I was sitting and just watch me like this. Perhaps he was posing. I don't know. If only animals could talk... |
